Our Pastor Lead Pastor, Jerry Young of Fayette Family Church, is a devoted and passionate speaker, preacher, and teacher of God’s Word. Pastor Young was born in Bradford, Arkansas, and received his academic and theological education from Arkansas State University and Central Baptist College, where he achieved a Bachelor’s Degree in Divinity and a Minor in Business. Pastor Young moved to Fayetteville, GA, in 1999. He is married to the love of his life, Susan, of 37 years, and they are blessed to have two children, Marissa and Jared. Marissa and her husband, Justin Williams, have blessed Pastor Young and Susan with two beautiful and energetic grandsons, Maddox and Asher. Our Story When Pastor Young joined the Fayetteville Church of GOD, he was deeply touched by a vibrant community of individuals passionately devoted to the Lord. Inspired by their faith and desire to grow spiritually, he embraced the role of their Pastor. In 2007, envisioning a broader horizon for his congregation, Pastor Young led the then 70-strong members to a fresh location. With a sparkling new facility and a name that reflected its essence - Fayette Family Church - the emphasis shifted towards nurturing family values and community bonding. Today, FFC stands proudly as one of the most diverse and spirited churches in Fayette County, blossoming with hundreds of souls every week. They come to embrace Christ, deepen their understanding of GOD, connect, unearth their true calling, and genuinely make a mark in the world. Martha Josey CHILDREN'S DIRECTOR Hello, my name is Martha Josey, the Children's Director at Fayette Family Church. I was born in Cali-Colombia and moved to Panama City, Panama at the age of 7 with my parents and siblings. At the age of 16, the Lord blessed me with the opportunity to come to the United States. At the age of 17, I joined International City Church of God in Warner Robins, GA where I got saved and baptized. I met my husband several years later at the same church and married this amazing man of God in 1996. We now have two beautiful adult children, Ana and Troy who we love so much. I have 26 years of experience working with children of all ages. I hold a bachelor's degree in Education from Ashworth University. I currently work for a private school as a High School Spanish teacher and own a small photography business. In my spare time, I love spending time with my family, traveling, and doing photography.
